Eli posing infront of his “first dental visit” picture. He was deemed the Best 3 year old ever. I was amazed at how he did. They were so good with him that he actually wanted to stay and help the dentist when she joked about “staying and helping her work”.

His teeth look great besides the fact that some of his teeth are very close together, making it hardier to clean in between. So we have to make sure that we’re good about flossing and not giving him a lot of sweet sticky stuff like fruit snacks and candy. Have you flossed a three year old’s teeth? It is really difficult, but I’m sure it will get easier the more I do it and I’m sure he’ll become more cooperative too.

Today while I was making lunch Eli and I decided to pull out the highchair so that Jules could sit at the table with us. I cleaned off the highchair and Eli gathered some toys for Jules to play with. During lunch Jules chewed on her toys and watched us eat. She’s so sweet. Can you tell Eli was happy to have his little sister join him at the table.

On Tuesday Julianna rolled over for the first time! It was pretty cool, she was laying on the floor and turned on her side and then turned another 1/4 of the way so that she only had her left arm in the way. She moved herself around a little bit and then moved out her arm and she was on her tummy.

Whenever I have a blonde moment Eric makes the comment that “he has the brains in this relationship”. I laugh because I know what the truth really is.

Yesterday I came back from the Children’s Museum with the kids to find our snowblower right in lawn area between the sidewalk and the curb. When I asked Eric about it he said a guy from the shop was going to pick up the snowblower in the next day or two to fix it. I told him he should at least move it closer to our garage/house since he had put it in what I would refer as the “free item area”. Sure enough, 30 minutes later we had a knock on the door asking about our “free” snowblower. Then Eric sheepishly explained that it wasn’t free it was being sent out to get fixed .

Anyways, yesterdays story made me think of this one. This summer before I had Jules, Eric and I were discussing how much vacation time he had. He told me that he was surprised to find out that he had only a little over three days of vacation time left. That number didn’t sound right to me so I looked at his sheet with him, turns out he had 80 hours of vacation! Here he had divided his vacation by 24 hours.

I took these Eli pics right before I had Julianna and I forgot to upload them. Better late than never, I think Eli looks so cute and happy in them. Speaking of Eli, this morning when Eli woke up we told him to look under the tree to see what Santa had brought. Eli runs over to the sofa, lifts up the shades and looks outside at our oak tree! Apparently, he thought Santa was putting the presents under the oak tree not our Christmas tree.

This picture is Julianna around 2 weeks old, she looks so tiny. I remember that I took this right after we were able to get rid of her billy blanket for jaundice. She has definitely filled out since then.

Speaking of the billy blanket this is Jules in it. I have no idea why they call it a blanket, it was anything but comfortable. Wow, I guess I should have titled this the post of forgotten pictures.

Julianna relaxing on the floor. On Sunday afternoon I recorded the cutest video of her smiling and cooing, it was really cute. Later on that day I watched the video again and somehow I deleted the video…I have no idea how I did it. Eric even tried to get the video back, but it was gone. I told Eric I was really bummed I deleted the video since it was SO cute. Eric then says “Well hun, atleast you got to see the video, I didn’t even get to see it”. I told Eric that was a terrible attempt at trying to make me feel better, it only made me feel worse!

Eric was excited to find these gold coins at Target last week. If you watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates (Eli’s favorite show) you can see why we thought they were cool, they look like gold doubloons. Eli will go crazy when he finds these in his stocking.

Today I was telling Eli how we were goiing to make cookies to give away. I went on to tell him that it was for our church who supplys cookies for the county jail’s Christmas party. Well, of course Eli hadn’t heard of a jail before, so I tried to explain it to him by saying the when adults are really naughty they have to go to the jail for a long time out. Apparently that explanation didn’t sound too bad to Eli because all he got out of the conversation was that there was a Christmas party at the jail that he really wanted go to. This was followed by Eli saying “Mommy I really want to go to the jail, I will be a good boy, I will sit nicely in the car so we can go to the jail”

Notice Eli’s fat lip? He actually has two new injuries. The first one is a big bruise on his right cheek that he got by jumping up into the ceiling of his play room, then coming down and planting his cheek into his train table. The next morning Eli was getting into his chair at the kitchen table and somehow slipped off and hit the edge of the table with his lip.
Eli ended up having a bowl of ice cream that afternoon and I made a comment that the cold ice cream must feel good on his lip. Well two hours later Eli comes up to me and says “momma, I need more ice cream to make my lip feel better.” That kid is always thinking

Eli was on a roll this weekend, I think I have atleast four stories I need to write down before I forget them. He is such a funny kid. On Saturday morning I told Eli that he would be hanging out with his cousins Luke and Wyatt on Thanksgiving. Eli got all excited and asked if he could play with them today. I told him that it would be a few more days before we would see them. Surprisingly that explaination seemed to be enough for Eli. Fast forward 2 hours later when we were driving to the grocery store Eli asked Eric if he could go play with Luke and Wyatt. After explaining to Eli 4 more times why we weren’t going today, an annoyed Eric said “Eli if you want to go play with Luke and Wyatt today, you’ll have to walk there.” Eli responded “but I can’t, there’s no sidewalks.”

On Sunday morning the side streets by our house were super icy. I told Eric to take the back way instead going down the curvy hill and having to take a left at the bottom. Apparently Eric forgot about how that street took a sharp left and he ended up trying to brake as he was making the turn. There we were sliding toward the guide rail stopping an inch short of it (right next to a road sign someone else must have plowed over). Within seconds of stopping Eli from the backseat comments “Daddy you should be going left, not running into stuff, you need to go slow” Ha I couldn’t have said it better myself. Once we got down from the west hill the roads were clear of ice.

Julianna is 2 months old already! We had her check-up on the Wednesday and besides a cold she’s doing great. She was 12 pounds 6 oz and 23 inches long, that is the 86% percentile for weight and 78% percentile for height. I decided to pull up Eli’s stats from his 2 month appointment and they are almost the same! Eli was 12 pounds 6 oz and 22 inches long, I thought that was really cool.

Gotta post a picture of my funny guy. The last week Eric and Eli were joking around and Eric said “Eli you’re hilarious” and Eli responded with “No daddy, I’m not hilarious, I’m funny”.
